Pupil Premium
Schools receive additional funding for any pupils who have been eligible for free school meals during the last six years; pupils who are looked after by the local authority or who are in care and for pupils from families where a parent serves in the armed forces. This money is known as the Pupil Premium Grant (PPG).
Our strategy is a balance between longer-term sustainable approaches to supporting the quality of teaching through ed professional development and shorter-term targeted interventions.
By adopting the above strategy, we empower our colleagues to do what is right for our children based on their knowledge of our children’s needs. As a Trust we will review the impact of the funding at termly Partnership Visits, Annual Roundtable and regular governor meetings. This will be a standing agenda item at the Trust Board’s Quality of Education Committee where we will review the implementation and impact of the Recovery Premium in our fifteen schools.

Throughout 2024-27, we are committed to working on ‘a few bold things’ (Sir Kevan Collins), doing ‘fewer things in greater depth’ (Mary Myatt).
We have agreed that our Trust strategic priorities are:
- Identify and address the vulnerabilities and challenges across our schools , communities and Central Team (F-T1)
- Enable great educators who have a strong moral purpose(F-T2)
- Provide a great education (F-T3)
- Support great health and wellbeing for all (F-T4)
- Improve outcomes for the whole child (F-T5)
We will take a strategic approach to deploying the funding and ensure that ‘Catch up is an outcome, not an activity’ (Amanda Speilman)
